Buffalo Shrimp

Serves: 2 to 3

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 large Fairway eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Fairway kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1 pound extra large (about 16 to 20) peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 lemon, cut into half-moon slices
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (optional, see Chef's Note)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, mix the eggs, salt, and hot sauce together.
  2. Dip the shrimp into the mixture, and then dredge them in the flour to evenly coat them.
  3. Place on a sheet pan and bake in a 350-degree oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  4. Plate, garnish with lemon slices, and serve.
Chef's Note: If you prefer fried instead of baked Buffalo shrimp, fry the shrimp in 1 cup of vegetable oil in a large pan for about 7 minutes, or until fully cooked. Turn the shrimp as needed.
