We make our deli salmon using our own time-honored recipe. We use the best curd and hand-craft our own fresh mozzarella daily. The delicious recipes we prepare in our own kitchens for our Deli and Appetizing counters are indicative of where our flagship store resides on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Our team members are frequent contributors to our prepared foods recipes – generally in their families for generations, they have to sneak them out on the sly. This is why we have authentic tastes from many different cultures and backgrounds, and a variety that will please a range of appetites from pig’s feet to caviar. A trademark you will find at Fairway is the station where a skilled deli counter team member is stretching out warm, fresh mozzarella. In a big tub, the team member takes locally sourced curd and turns it into decadent fresh mozzarella. Pick some up from the refrigerated case or get some while it’s still a little warm. Of course, in addition to all of those wonderful deli specialties, we have all of the traditional deli meats and cheeses your heart desires, so do not think for one moment that that’s one more stop you’ll have to make in your already busy day.
