No kitchen should be without Fairway Market olive oil and balsamic. We are famous for our directly imported barrel olive oils, and the Barbera Sicilian is one of the crown jewels of the range. Also included in this set is our Super Premium Balsamic which is slightly richer in texture than our Premium Balsamic and makes a great component to braising, deglazing and drizzling. Our Barbera is derived from short, bushy trees that bloom under the Mediterranean sun in western Sicily and blossom with plump, reddish-violet biancolilla olives. The olives are hand harvested by a fourth generation olive oil producer whose family has been in the business since 1894 (so they know what they’re doing), and who crafts this oil exclusively for Fairway. Our Super Premium Balsamic, imported from Italy, is limited-quantity and imparts a flavor even more complex than our Premium Balsamic Vinegar with a noticeably thicker texture. Made from Trebbiano grapes that are cooked down, and then poured into wooden kegs, the vinegar rests and thickens for a period of years. Each set contains 1L of Barbera Sicilian EVOO and 1L of Super Premium Balsamic nicely packaged in a kraft gift box with raffia ribbon.
