Our kosher basket boasts a respectable sampling of the thousands of specialty kosher items that we carry in all Fairway Market stores. The shining star of this basket, our own Spanish Andalusia Baena Super Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil, is not only certified kosher, it’s authentically produced and is qualified to receive the Denomination of Origin (D.O.), a strictly regulated title that indicates and confirms that the Baena was indeed made in a specific area, using certain olives, cultivation techniques, and methods that make this oil special, preserving its color, taste, odor, and feel. It took a full year for our own Steve Jenkins to get it in our doors. Another star is the Bartenura Private Collection Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, where some of the best balsamic in the world comes from.
