A rare, naturally white salt, that is neither crushed nor washed, “flower of the salt” (or Fleur de Sel, as it's called in French) is a condiment that's defined by perfection. We import this from Guerande, a carefully preserved, charming, medieval town on the western coast of France that boasts a rich and fascinating history, and is home to closely guarded marshes where salt is cultivated by only natural elements: wind, sea, and sun. The salt is harvested by hand using ancestral, centuries-old techniques and craftsmanship to preserve the sustainable environment and provide pure, clean, potent, unrefined salt without any chemical treatment, washings, preservatives, or additives. This Fleur de Sel is delicate and light, made of fine crystals so it’s excellent for adding a pinch to your favorite dishes to make their flavors sing.

This is a finishing salt, and not used for cooking, so you'll want to save this for sprinkling on nuts or popcorn, or use to complement a sweet treat like delectable chocolates or caramels, or even a panna cotta. Try it on melons or corn on the cob; it’s a fantastic seasoning for already-prepared foods.
