On Friday August 26th, 2011 from 9AM-3PM the Stamford Hospital Mobile Wellness Center will be offering mammogram screenings at Fairway Market of Stamford. The mobile center provides the convenience of having screenings done quickly on site, in about 20 - 30 minutes, without the need to travel to and from the hospital. It is complete with all-digital equipment and features a comfortable registration area, two dressing rooms and a mammography screening room. Reports are provided to patients and their physicians within 10 days by mail.
The requirements to quality for a mammogram are as follows:
- You must be age appropriate--between the ages of 35 to 40, and 40 or older for a mammogram every year.
- Be an established patient with a doctor or clinic facility.
- Appointment is needed.
