A: Fairway Market is a legendary New York City-based specialty food market that started over 75 years ago – a food lover’s paradise, with a rapidly growing chain of full-service specialty markets. Fairway Market offers not only specialty and traditional groceries, but also the largest selection of the freshest organic and conventional produce with a focus on local farms, on-site bakeries, custom butcher shops, and cheese departments selling more than 600 cheeses. Q: Where can I find a Fairway Market store?

Q: Why am I having issues viewing this website or checking out when purchasing products online?

Q: Can I shop online for groceries and have them delivered to my home?

A: We currently do not offer online shopping for groceries. However, if you live in the NYC tri-state area, certain Fairway Market stores provide store-to-door home delivery (you shop and we schlep!), including some of our NYC stores (Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Harlem, and Red Hook, Brooklyn) and Pelham Manor. FairwayMarket.com offers online ordering and shipping for nearly 500 items that Fairway Market carries. While we don’t have traditional grocery items, we do ship many of our specialty import items, Fairway Private Label items including our famous coffee and directly imported barrel olive oils, and a large assortment of gift baskets. Q: Do I need to set up an account to place an online order?

A: No, you don’t need to set up an account to place an online order. During the checkout process, you can simply select the option that allows you to check out as a GUEST. However, you’ll find it very convenient to create an account; advantages include having your full order history at your fingertips, as well as being able to create an address book for quick and easy shopping and shipping.

Q: Will sales tax be applied to my order?

A: FairwayMarket.com complies with all state and local sales tax regulations, and as such, if your order contains taxable items, and is shipped to a state or city that requires us to collect sales tax, you will see it applied to you order.

Q: Can I purchase gift cards online?

A: Yes, you can purchase IN-STORE GIFT CARDS online here. Please note that they can only be used in Fairway Market stores and are not valid online at FairwayMarket.com. They are sent via USPS and require 5 to 7 days for delivery so please plan accordingly.

Q: Can I use the gift card in one of your stores?

A: Yes, at this time, Fairway Market gift cards are only redeemable at all Fairway Market stores. Click here to see all our locations.

Q: How do I apply a gift card to my online order?

A: Unfortunately, at this time, we’re unable to accept Fairway Market In-Store gift cards online.

Q: I have a Fairway Online Gift Certificate from a long time ago. What can I do with it?

A: All previously purchased and valid Fairwaymarket.com online gift certificates received via email are still valid for the new online store. Now, you have an even better selection to shop from! However, if you live near a store and would like to convert the online gift certificate to an in-store gift card please email hello@fairwaymarket.com and we’ll be happy to help.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: In Fairway Market stores, and online at FairwayMarket.com, we accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), as well as Diners Club. We are happy to accept EBT at all Fairway Markets.

Q: I have a coupon or promotion code. How can I apply it to my order?

A: During the checkout process, there will be a promotional code box where you can enter the code to apply the discount. Please note that you may only use one promotional code per order.

Q: What is your Internet coupon policy?

A: We are happy to announce that we accept Internet coupons that have been printed from home. Coupons must have clear bar codes that can be scanned at the register and a valid redemption address. If a coupon value exceeds the product retail, the difference is not refunded to the customer. Rain checks for out of stock items are not available for coupon redemption. Coupons for free products with no purchase requirements are not accepted. We continue to accept manufacturer coupons that are printed in circulars and newspapers, as well as any coupons you may receive from Fairway Market in the USPS mail that are redeemed for specific products with valid expiration dates. Additionally, Fairway Market does not double coupons. The above conditions refer to manufacture coupons appearing in circulars, newspapers, and Internet sites as well as Fairway Market coupons printed in circulars. Fairway reserves the right to suspend coupon redemption if notified of fraudulent activity.

Q: When will my credit card be charged?

A: Your credit card will be charged when your order is shipped. If an item is temporarily unavailable, you will not be charged until it ships.

Q: What are the shipping options?

A: Most orders will be shipped via UPS (United Parcel Service). For orders that are shipped UPS, we offer Standard (3 to 7 business days) and Second Business Day. All Gift Cards, whether ordered on their own or with other products, are shipped via USPS and require 5 – 7 business days to arrive. For orders containing both product and Gift Cards please note that the Gift Card will arrive separately from the rest of the order. APO/FPO orders are also shipped via USPS and require additional time for delivery.

Please note that no matter what shipping option you select, COFFEE ORDERS REQUIRE TWO ADDITIONAL BUSINESS DAYS TO PROCESS. To guarantee freshness, additional days are required to roast and grind the coffee beans before packing and shipping all coffee orders.

Q: Can I ship to an APO/FPO address?

A: Yes! Orders shipped to APO/FPO addresses are sent via USPS and require additional time for delivery. Please also note that there will not be any tracking information for a USPS order. Please be sure to select the destination state as Armed Services AA, AE or AP and check APO/FPO as your shipping option to ensure that your package arrives at your intended destination in a timely manner. APO/FPO deliveries will incur a Standard Shipping charge. You can view our shipping rates here.

Q: Can I ship a single order to multiple addresses?

A: Unfortunately at this time we aren’t able to accommodate multiple shipping addresses for a single order on our site. You will need to create a separate order for each shipping address. Q: Why does my coffee order, or order containing coffee, take two additional days to ship?

A: In order to send you the absolute freshest coffee possible, as is the case if you were to shop in any Fairway Market store, we grind and pack the coffee orders as they come in at one of our store locations where we roast all of our own hand-selected beans on premises. While this adds two additional business days of processing time, we believe it’s the best way for our customers to experience our coffee the way it was intended. We appreciate your understanding and regret any inconvenience this causes.

Q: What are the shipping costs?

A: The shipping costs vary based on your order subtotal and the delivery option you select. Here is an easy-to-read chart that outlines our online shipping rates.

Q: Do you charge sales tax on shipping?

A: FairwayMarket.com complies with all state and local sales tax regulations, and as such, if your order contains taxable items, and is shipped to a state or city that requires us to collect sales tax on shipping as well as the items, you will see it applied to you order.

Q: What are the order cut-off times?

A: All orders placed by 2 p.m. ET Monday – Friday will ship out the same day excluding orders containing coffee. If you place your order after that time, it will be processed on the next business day. If your order contains coffee, please add two additional business days of processing time. Q: How can I track my order?

A: After you place your order, you will receive an Order Confirmation Email with the details of your order. Once the order has been processed and scheduled for shipment, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email with your UPS tracking number. PLEASE NOTE that Gift Cards and orders going to APO/FPO addresses are send via USPS and will not have tracking information.

Q: Where do we ship?

A: FairwayMarket.com ships to all 50 states. Unfortunately, we don’t ship internationally or to U.S. territories, such as Puerto Rico at this time.

Q: When will my order ship?

A: Any orders placed by 2 pm ET Monday – Friday will ship the same day. Orders placed over the weekend will ship on Monday. Please note that orders containing coffee require two extra business days for processing. Q: Do you ship to PO Boxes?

A: No, unfortunately, we are unable to ship to PO Boxes.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: No, unfortunately Fairway doesn’t ship internationally or to U.S. territories, such as Puerto Rico at this time. We do ship to all 50 states.

Q: How long will it take to receive my order?

A: Standard shipping via UPS for all items purchased online is 3 to 7 business days. All orders received by 2 pm ET Monday – Friday will ship out the same day. Orders placed on a weekend will ship out on Monday. We offer Next Business Day and Second Business Day options for expedited delivery. We currently do not offer Saturday delivery. Q: What happens if the products I ordered are damaged upon arrival?

A: Fairway Market takes great care to package every product carefully in order to avoid any damage during shipping, but unfortunately we can’t control what happens when the item leaves our warehouse so damage to delicate items like glass may happen occasionally. Should you receive an item that was damaged during transit, please contact our online store’s Customer Service immediately at either (855) 726-0602 or you may fill out our online form to submit your inquiry here: http://www.fairwaymarket.com/contact-us/, so that we may expedite a replacement. Q: Can I place an online order in a Fairway Market retail store?

A: Unfortunately at this time Fairway Market stores are not able to place online orders. However, our online store is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for all of your specialty and gift giving needs.

Q: Can I add/delete/change products to an existing order?

A: Changes to existing orders can be accommodated for up to one hour after the order is placed. For instance, if you place an order at 1:45 p.m., we are able to make changes to that order until 2:45 p.m. After that, the order has already begun processing so we are no longer able to make changes. Q: How do I change the delivery location after an order has been placed?

Q: How do you source your products?

A: No matter what the product category – olive oil, coffee, specialty imports, butcher shop, artisanal cheese, produce, fresh seafood – there’s an experienced leader who’s an expert in all things related to it. So whether it’s Master Butcher, Ray Venezia, or Peter Romano who started picking stone fruit at the age of 6 on his family’s farm in Sicily, or Captain Tony Maltese who is a NYS DEC-licensed commercial fisherman and licensed Coast Guard Captain, or Master Baker Sarah Black, Fairway Market is made up of a seasoned team of the most serious food experts who travel the globe, immerse themselves in local culture and find the foremost local food sources and artisans who craft and develop their products with a devotion to time-honored traditions and the strictest quality standards. Fairway Market imports a great many of our products directly from these local sources and artisans, which allows us to sell our products at a fantastic value and at competitively lower prices than you will find elsewhere. That is if you can even find many of the specialty items we carry outside of the countries they hail from, because most of them are exclusively sold through Fairway Market, and can’t be found anywhere else in the U.S.

Our coffees, too, are sourced and handled with as much love as a mother shows her child. This means we stay away, run away, from mainstream commercial coffee, and we buy directly from small farms and estates that we have personal connections with, because we know they feel the same passion about coffee as we do.

Q: Do you provide gift-wrapping for products?

A: Unfortunately at this time we do not provide gift-wrapping services. However, you will find that our gift sets and gift baskets are beautifully packaged in boxes and gift baskets that complement the products natural charm and artisanal qualities.

Q: I saw one of your products in the store. Why can’t I find it online?

A: Fairway Market stores carry over 60,000 items. Online, we feature a hand-selected assortment of our imported barrel olive oils, artisanal vinegars, specialty imports, private label items such as maple syrup and honey, all of our coffees, and a lot more. We are continually adding new products to our online catalog, so please check back often!

Q: Can I create my own gift basket?

A: Unfortunately at this time we do not have a Build-Your-Own-Basket feature.

Q: How do I order corporate gifts?

Q: I do not receive the weekly circular in my paper or by mail. How can I ensure that I receive it every week?

A: While we try to distribute the weekly circulars via postal mail or in newspapers to as many people as possible, we unfortunately cannot reach everyone in this way. We do, however, post our current circulars online each week here. You can view and print them out. Sign up here to receive your stores weekly specials through email. Be sure to select which Fairway Market you shop at.

Q: Can I order my groceries online?

Q: Can I get my catering order delivered?

A: Yes! We will be happy to deliver your catering order. Delivery rates vary with each order. Simply make delivery arrangements with your local Fairway’s catering manager and we’ll make sure it arrives on time.

Q: How can I purchase Fairway gift cards?

A: You can purchase Fairway In-Store Gift cards at the register in your local Fairway, or you can order them online here. Online orders for in-store gift cards are mailed via USPS and may take 5-7 days to arrive. If you order an In-Store Gift Card online with other products, please note that the gift card will be sent separately to the same address as the rest of the order. They are valid at all Fairway Market stores. IMPORTANT NOTE: In-store gift cards are currently not valid online at FairwayMarket.com.

Q: Are there fees associated with Fairway Market gift cards, and do they expire?

A: We do not charge any fees associated with the purchase and use of Fairway Market gift cards and they never expire.
