Onion rings

Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS

  • Onions 80 % Spanish to 20 % red)
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel then cut onions into rounds (make sure they separate into single strands for the most part) soak in enough milk to just cover them
  2. When you are ready to fry, drain onion rings from the milk, shake off excess milk. Place in a bowl, sprinkle very, very lightly with flour (the lighter the better), and fry at once..
  3. Cook until golden brown in 350 degree oil (use corn, vegetable, sunflower, peanut or canola), drain well and salt.
