Steamed Lobster

Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 1.5- to 2-pound lobsters

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a pot large enough to hold both lobsters, add 2 inches of water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil, then lower to a simmer, and add the lobsters.
  3. Let them steam for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove the lobsters, and let them cool for 10 minutes before removing the claw and tail meat from the shells.
Chef’s Note: If you have a steaming rack for your pot, use it. It's not necessary, but if you have it, it'll help prevent the lobsters from touching the bottom of the pot and charring.
