About Fairway Plainview
The Plainview location was the third Fairway Market to open, and our first in the suburbs. With twice as much square footage as our flagship store, we had room to seriously increase the number of fabulous things we offered our shoppers, and we saw what life would be like with wider aisles. Eureka! Plainview was also the first store where we put in a seating area next to the hot foods bar, so customers could pause and enjoy our prepared foods in between discovering all the amazing things Fairway offers. The intimate seating area was a success, the wider aisles and greater selection were celebrated, and it paved the way for the future of Fairway.
Long Island was surprised to see us at first, and now, after over a decade, we are a welcomed fixture in the modest shopping center. We brought to Plainview an introduction to fresh foods that the area embraced. With the space we were able to offer Nassau County a vast variety of organic and natural foods priced comparable to traditional groceries, and definitely priced lower than any other store that could be found in the area. We also brought in our huge collection of organic and natural Health and Beauty Aids and vitamins. We introduced Plainview shoppers to Fairway label products and a better way of eating. We were also excited to offer the area our expertise and unmatched selection of specialty imported foodstuffs. The parties around Plainview reached a whole new level when Fairway came to town.
A cheery addition to the Plainview store, too, was an extensive floral selection at the entrance way. Stepping inside to a “green house” of spring in bloom brings a smile, and as the doors open up into the familiar trove of fresh produce, stacked so high, our customers feel at home. Loop your way around to the Butcher Shop, seafood department, cheese counter, olive bar, deli and appetizing – it’s all there, fresh, prepared, original, delicious, new, for you to discover.
