Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes: 25 Cookies

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 pound flour
  • 1/4 Tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pound butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 pound walnuts
  • 1/2 pound chocolate chunks

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together into a medium bowl and set aside.
  4. Place the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in an electric mixer. Mix on medium speed until light and fluffy, about ten minutes.
  5. Add vanilla and eggs, and continue mixing for another minute.
  6. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, followed by the walnuts and chocolate chunks, and mix until just combined.
  7. Roll golf-sized bowls of cookie dough into balls. Place about 3-inches apart on prepared cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for about ten minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown. Let cool and serve.
