Espelette Pepper Marinated Shell Steaks

  • 350ml bottle Bixi Bixia espelette pepper barbecue sauce, divided
  • 2 medium USDA prime bone-in shell steaks


  1. 1Pour half the sauce into a re-sealable plastic bag. Add steaks, seal and marinate in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours.
  2. 2Heat a grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade and grill 4-5 minutes per side for a medium well steak, brushing with the other half of the espelette sauce as you flip.
  3. 3Remove from grill and let steak sit another 5 minutes under a foil tent before serving.
